2009 Scholarships Offered
The Coal Creek Canyon Improvement Association (CCCIA) is offering two $1,000 College scholarships for high school seniors that live in Coal Creek Canyon.
The scholarships are an honor bestowed upon deserving youth of our community who best exemplify the ideals and principles of society—honesty, initiative, good citizenship, integrity and diligence.
The Scholarships are open to any person age 21 or under who plan to continue education beyond high school at a college, vocational, trade or arts school, and who is, and has been for a full year prior to application, a resident of Coal Creek Canyon. (This area includes but is not limited to the area along the Highway 72 corridor through Coal Creek Canyon to the intersection of Highway 72 and Highway 119. This area encompasses individuals who attend High School in the Boulder Valley School District or Jefferson County including but not limited to Nederland High School, Boulder High School, Fairview High School, Ralston Valley High School, or Golden High School).
Applications are available through the guidance department at the above-mentioned High Schools, or on the CCCIA bulletin Board next to the Post Office in the Kwik Mart.

The
CCCIA Is Here For You!
The Coal Creek Canyon Improvement Association has long served the community
in a variety of ways. In earlier times the Association's mission was to help
bring utility services to the Canyon, to lobby for paving Highway 72 and to
help establish the Volunteer Fire Dept. Today, the CCCIA strives to find new
ways to serve the community. Supporting local kids' groups, providing scholarships
and contributing to emergency community needs is our continued mission. As
stewards of the Coal Creek Community Center, we also are responsible for the
maintenance and upkeep of the Center, which is used regularly by many local
organizations.
We welcome your thoughts or ideas on how the CCCIA can better serve the Canyon.
If you would like to offer suggestions or thoughts, please feel free to call.
303-642-1540 and leave a message.
Your call will be returned ASAP. Don't forget to leave the phone number where
you can be reached.
THANK YOU!
