Items NOT ACCEPTED
These items will contaminate the Bin for
Single Stream Recycling:
Hazardous or Bio-Hazardous Waste (Needles and Syringes)
Plastic BAGS (this includes the one you bring the recyclables to the bin in. Please take you Plastic Bags home and reuse)
used Motor Oil Plastic Bottles
Paper towels and Napkins (compostable NOT recyclable)
Clamshell OR “to go” plastic containers with NO number
Plastic Egg Cartons
Six Pack ring holders
Plastic Plates, Forks, spoons or Knives
Styrofoam (includes Packing Materials and Peanuts)
Ceramics or Pyrex
Please: TAKE Plastic bags HOME with you! Thank YOU!!

In November 2011 the CCCIA in partnership with CLEAN IT ROLL OFF SERVICE started a Recycling Program.
Information below:
List of acceptable items that can be mixed together in one container
(NO plastic bags) and put into the GREEN BOX.
HINT: Bring recyclables in a paper bag: Dump and throw Bag in & recycle too!!

Newspaper (including inserts)
Corrugated Cardboard [flattened] BTW: even the box you carry the flattened boxes in needs to be emptied & [flattened]!
Chipboard (cereal & tissue boxes) [also flattened]
Plastic Milk Jugs [Rinse out]
Empty Aerosol cans [empty!!!]
Bulk or Junk Mail
Aseptic Packaging (milk and orange juice cartons)
Mixed Paper
Brown Paper Bags
Steel or tin Cans[Rinse out]
Plastic (#1 -#7) Bottles and Tubs [Rinse out]
Plastic (#1 -#7) Lettuce or Berry containers with the triangle and a number are OK
Glass Bottles and Jars ...[“what is all this washing about?” bears and contamination!!]
