The Blue Jay’s latin name is Cyanocitta cristata. They are native to eastern and central North America. Their preferred habitat is all kinds of forests, oak trees, forest edges, urban areas, suburban areas, and where there are bird feeders. A female Blue Jay bird can most often be found with its baby Blue Jay bird during breeding season, which is from March to July.
