The Latin name for Canadian Goose’s Branta canadensis. They are native to North America, and occasionally reach northern Europe. Their preferred habitat is tundra, and marshes. The Canadian Geese breed from early March to late April. They migrate south in winter, and north in summer. Their population status is of least concern. The Canadian Geese can be found at CoalCreek Farm year round. Their diet consists of stems, grass, aquatic plants, seeds, berries, grains, insects, mollusks, crustaceans, and small fish. The males are very aggressive.
